न च मन्युस्त्वया कार्य: शृणु चेद॑ वचो मम | अवश्यं नरकस्तात द्रष्टव्य: सर्वराजभि:,“तात! तुम्हें जो नरक देखना पड़ा है इसके लिये क्रोध न करना। मेरी यह बात सुनो! समस्त राजाओंको निश्चय ही नरक देखना पड़ता है

na ca manyus tvayā kāryaḥ śṛṇu ced vaco mama | avaśyaṃ narakas tāta draṣṭavyaḥ sarvarājabhiḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “Do not give way to anger because of this. Listen to my words: O dear one, it is inevitable that all kings must behold hell.”
