Duryodhana’s Refusal of Reconciliation

यद्‌ ब्रूयाद्धि हृषीकेशो राजानमपराजितम्‌ । अर्जुनं भीमसेनं च सर्वे कुर्युरसंशयम्‌

Transliteration

yad brūyāddhi hṛṣīkeśo rājānam aparājitam | arjunaṃ bhīmasenaṃ ca sarve kuryur asaṃśayam ||

Translation

Sanjaya said: Whatever Hṛṣīkeśa (Kṛṣṇa) were to tell the unconquered king, and Arjuna and Bhīmasena as well—everyone would carry it out, without doubt. The verse underscores Kṛṣṇa’s moral authority and the trust his counsel commands amid the pressures of war.
