नित्यानन्दप्रमुदिता वागीशा वीतमत्सरा: । प्राप्याष्टगुणमैश्वर्य ये न यास्यन्ति वै स्मयम्,वे पार्षद नित्य आनन्दमें मग्न रहते थे, वाणीपर उनका अधिकार था। उनके मनमें किसीके प्रति ईर्ष्या और द्वेष नहीं रह गये थे। वे अणिमा-महिमा आदि आठ प्रकारके ऐश्वर्यको पाकर भी कभी अभिमान नहीं करते थे
nityānandapramuditā vāgīśā vītamatsarāḥ | prāpyāṣṭaguṇamaiśvaryaṃ ye na yāsyanti vai smayam ||
Sañjaya said: Ever rejoicing in constant bliss, masters of speech, and free from envy, they—though attaining the eightfold lordly powers—would never fall into pride or self-conceit.
