varāyudhān pāṇigataiḥ śaraiḥ saha kṣuraiḥ nyakṛntat prapatan śirāṃsi ca

Sañjaya said: With arrows shot from his own hand—together with razor-edged shafts—he cut down the heads of warriors bearing excellent weapons, so that they fell to the ground. The scene underscores the ruthless momentum of battle, where martial skill becomes an instrument of mass destruction and the ethical cost of war is made starkly visible.
