Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Droṇa Parva—specifically in the section concerning the slaying of Jayadratha—the ninety-fourth chapter, dealing with the fastening of Duryodhana’s armor, comes to its close. The colophon marks a transition in the war narrative, emphasizing preparation and protection amid escalating violence and the moral weight of choices made on the battlefield.

As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction; it highlights the epic’s ethical atmosphere by underscoring how, in war, leaders focus on protection and readiness even as consequences of prior choices tighten. The mention of armor-fastening points to the human impulse to secure oneself amid unfolding destiny and moral conflict.
This is an end-of-chapter notice: it states that the ninety-fourth chapter within the Droṇa Parva, in the Jayadratha-slaying section, has concluded, and that the chapter’s topic concerned the fastening/binding of Duryodhana’s armor.
