Sātyaki’s Assurance and the Protection of Dharmarāja (सात्यकिवचनम्—धर्मराजरक्षणविचारः)
त्वयि चाहं पराश्चस्तः प्रद्युम्ने वा महारथे । शवनुयां सैन्धवं हन्तुमनपेक्षो नरर्षभ,“नरश्रेष्ठ) इस कार्यके लिये मैं तुमपर अथवा महारथी प्रद्युम्मपर ही पूरा भरोसा करता हूँ। सिंधुराज जयद्रथका वध तो मैं किसीकी सहायताकी अपेक्षा किये बिना ही कर सकता हूँ
tvayi cāhaṁ parāścastaḥ pradyumne vā mahārathe | śvanu yāṁ saindhavaṁ hantum anapekṣo nararṣabha ||
Sañjaya said: “On you—or on Pradyumna, that great chariot-warrior—I place my full reliance, O bull among men. As for slaying the Sindhu king Jayadratha, I can accomplish that without looking for anyone’s assistance.”
