द्रोणेन सात्यकिपीडनम् — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Charge to Sātyaki amid Droṇa’s Onslaught
निहत्य सैन्धवं जिष्णुरद्य त्वामुपयास्यति । विशोको विज्वरो राजन् भव भूतिपुरस्कृत:,राजन! आज विजयशील अर्जुन जयद्रथको मारकर ही आपके पास आयेंगे, आप ऐश्वर्यसे सम्पन्न रहकर शोक और चिन्ताको त्याग दीजिये
nihatya saindhavaṁ jiṣṇur adya tvām upayāsyati | viśoko vijvaro rājan bhava bhūtipuraskṛtaḥ ||
Vāyu said: “Having slain the Saindhava (Jayadratha), Jishnu (Arjuna) will come to you today. O King, be free from grief and feverish anxiety; remain steadfast, with prosperity set before you.”
वायुदेव उवाच
Even amid war and loss, a ruler is urged to maintain steadiness of mind—abandoning grief and agitating anxiety—so that dharma and responsibility can be upheld with clarity.
Vāyu foretells and reassures the king that Arjuna, after killing Jayadratha (the Saindhava), will return that very day; the king is instructed to cast off sorrow and distress and remain composed and confident.
