द्रोणानीक-व्यतिक्रमः — Kṛṣṇa–Arjuna Break Through Droṇa’s Array
असम्मन्त्रय मया सार्धमतिभारो<यमुद्यत: । कथं तु सर्वलोकस्य नावहास्या भवेमहि,“मेरे साथ सलाह किये बिना ही तुमने यह बड़ा भारी भार उठा लिया। ऐसी दशामें हम सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके उपहासपात्र कैसे नहीं बनेंगे?
asammantraya mayā sārdham atibhāro 'yam udyataḥ | kathaṁ tu sarvalokasya nāvahāsyā bhavemahi ||
Sañjaya said: “Without taking counsel with me, you have undertaken this exceedingly weighty burden. In such a situation, how could we fail to become a laughingstock before all the world?”
संजय उवाच
Major undertakings—especially in governance and war—should be preceded by consultation and shared deliberation; acting unilaterally invites avoidable risk and public disgrace.
Sañjaya rebukes a decision-maker for initiating a grave course of action without consulting him, warning that such rashness can make them the object of ridicule in the eyes of everyone.
