Sañjaya said: “O King, I do not see here, within your forces, any bowman of such prowess who, in this great battle, could counter Arjuna’s weapon with a weapon of his own.”

The verse underscores sober discernment in dharma-yuddha: strength and skill are real moral factors in war, and ignoring an opponent’s proven capability leads to ruin. Sañjaya’s counsel implies an ethical warning to the king—recognize reality, restrain destructive pride, and understand the consequences of unjust persistence.
Sañjaya reports to the king that within the Kaurava host he finds no archer capable of neutralizing Arjuna’s missiles in the great battle. It is a strategic and psychological assessment highlighting Arjuna’s battlefield dominance and the Kauravas’ vulnerability.
