न भाषितुं शक्नुवन्ति द्रष्ट॑ वा सुहृदो &र्जुनम् । अन्यत्र वासुदेवाद्वा ज्येष्ठाद्वा पाण्डुनन्दनात्,उस अवस्थामें वसुदेवनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण अथवा ज्येष्ठ पाण्डुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरको छोड़कर दूसरे सगे-सम्बन्धी न तो उनसे कुछ बोल सकते थे और न तो देखनेका ही साहस करते थे
na bhāṣituṁ śaknuvanti draṣṭuṁ vā suhṛdo 'rjunam | anyatra vāsudevād vā jyeṣṭhād vā pāṇḍunandanāt ||
Sañjaya said: Arjuna’s own well-wishers could neither find words to speak to him nor even muster the courage to look at him—except for Vāsudeva (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) and the eldest son of Pāṇḍu (Yudhiṣṭhira). The scene underscores how overwhelming grief and moral shock can silence even close kin, while those grounded in steadfast duty and spiritual clarity alone remain able to face the suffering directly.
