Narada said: “Eat plentifully of the soup; do not hold back. Such a delicious preparation as this has not been made for a whole month, as it used to be before.” The line evokes a scene of indulgent hospitality and the persuasive call of attendants, hinting at how sensory pleasure and abundance can be used to entice and distract, even amid larger moral and social tensions.
The verse highlights how abundance and taste can become instruments of persuasion: the call to eat freely suggests the ethical need for restraint and awareness, since pleasure and hospitality may also function as subtle inducements that cloud judgment.
Narada reports or voices a scene in which attendants encourage people to eat generously, praising the exceptional tastiness of the soup as something not achieved for a month—creating an atmosphere of indulgent feasting and eager invitation.
