Jayadrathasya varaprāptiḥ (जयद्रथस्य वरप्राप्तिः) — Jayadratha’s boon and the restraint of the Pāṇḍava advance

सौभद्रस्तु तत: शड्खं प्रध्माप्य पुरुषर्षभ: । शीघ्रमभ्यपतत्‌ सेनां भारतीं भरतर्षभ

Transliteration

saubhadras tu tataḥ śaṅkhaṃ pradhmāpya puruṣarṣabhaḥ | śīghram abhyapatat senāṃ bhāratīṃ bharatarṣabha ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Then Saubhadra—foremost among men—having blown his conch, swiftly charged upon the Bhārata host. The act signals not mere aggression but a warrior’s declared resolve: to meet a vast army openly, with courage and duty, in the grim discipline of righteous battle.
