Sañjaya said: Thus did the mass of soldiers behold with their own eyes that he had been slain in the press of battle. In the wake of Droṇa’s fall, the scene turns starkly ethical: the victory is not merely tactical but morally charged, as the death of a revered teacher becomes a public spectacle, intensifying grief, rage, and the hardening of hearts on both sides.
