Sañjaya said: Having found his mark, Rādheya (Karna) began to press hard upon the great chariot-warriors of the Pāñcālas. With tireless effort he showered them with arrows, like a rain-cloud pouring streams upon a mountain—an image of relentless martial force that, in the ethical frame of the war, highlights both the warrior’s skill and the crushing cost borne by those caught in the storm of battle.
