Alāyudha’s Resolve to Confront Bhīma

tvatprasādasamutthena vikrameṇārisūdana | sureśatvaṃ gataḥ śakro hatvā daityānū sahasraśaḥ ||

Sañjaya said: O Arisūdana, by the valor that arose from your grace, Śakra (Indra) slew the Dāityas by the thousand and thereby attained the sovereignty of the gods. The verse frames divine kingship not as mere might, but as power grounded in rightful support and beneficent favor—strength that is legitimized through grace and directed against forces that threaten cosmic order.
