अलंबलवधः (Alaṃbala-vadhaḥ) / The Slaying of Alaṃbala and the Advance toward Karṇa

नमस्तस्मै सुपूज्याय गौतमायापलायिने

namas tasmai supūjyāya gautamāyāpalāyine

Sañjaya said: “Reverent salutations to that most worthy and highly honored Gautama, who does not flee (from duty or danger).” The line frames praise as an ethical ideal: steadfastness and refusal to abandon one’s responsibility are held up as virtues amid the turmoil of war.
