Sanjaya said: In that battle we beheld the volleys of arrows released from the great-souled warriors G012bva bow spreading out through the sky, like a line of swans across the heavens. The image underscores both the awe of martial mastery and the sobering beauty with which war can appear even as it brings destruction.

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how extraordinary skill and power in war can appear beautiful and orderly (arrows like a flight of swans), inviting reflection on the ethical tension between aesthetic admiration and the real suffering that martial brilliance causes.

Sanjaya describes what is seen on the battlefield: the great warriors G012bva bow releases dense volleys of arrows that spread across the sky in formations resembling a line of swans.
