अध्याय १४८ — कर्णप्रभावः, धृष्टद्युम्नस्य विरथता, तथा घटोत्कच-आह्वानम्
Chapter 148: Karṇa’s Pressure, Dhṛṣṭadyumna Unhorsed, and the Summoning of Ghaṭotkaca
विनिवार्य स वीराणामस्त्रैरस्त्राणि सर्वतः । दर्शयन् रौद्रमात्मानमुग्रे कर्मणि घिष्ठित:,वीरोंके अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंको अस्त्रोंद्वारा सब ओरसे रोककर अपने रौद्रभावका दर्शन कराते हुए वे उग्र कर्ममें संलग्न हो गये
vinivārya sa vīrāṇām astrāir astrāṇi sarvataḥ | darśayan raudram ātmānam ugre karmaṇi dhiṣṭhitaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: He checked the warriors’ missiles on every side with his own weapons; and, displaying his own fierce and terrible might, he set himself firmly to the dreadful work of battle. The scene underscores how, in the heat of war, prowess and wrath can dominate action, even as the larger question of righteous conduct (dharma) remains in the background of every deed.
