ततः स्वरथमास्थाय भीमसेनो महाबल: । अभ्यद्रवत वेगेन तव पुत्रस्य वाहिनीम्,तत्पश्चात् महाबली भीमसेन पुनः अपने रथपर आरूढ़ हो आपके पुत्रकी सेनापर वेगपूर्वक टूट पड़े
tataḥ svaratham āsthāya bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ | abhyadravat vegena tava putrasya vāhinīm ||
Sañjaya said: Then Bhīmasena, mighty in strength, mounted his own chariot and, with swift force, charged straight into the army of your son. The scene underscores the relentless momentum of battle—personal valor and resolve driving warriors to press forward even amid overwhelming violence.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya resolve in war: once committed to a righteous cause as understood by the Pāṇḍavas, a warrior acts decisively, accepting risk and pressing forward without hesitation—showing how determination and duty operate amid the moral weight of violence.
Sañjaya reports that Bhīma remounts his chariot and, gathering speed, charges into the Kaurava host—describing a renewed assault against Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son’s forces.
