Śaineya’s Breakthrough and Reunion with Arjuna (शैनेयस्य समागमः)
akṣatau saṁyuge tatra praviṣṭī kṛṣṇapāṇḍavau | na ca vārayitā kaścit tayor astīha sañjaya ||
Sañjaya said: “There, in the thick of battle, Kṛṣṇa and the Pāṇḍava (Arjuna) entered our forces without suffering any harm. And here, O Sañjaya, there was not a single warrior who could stand forth to restrain those two.”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the overwhelming efficacy of righteous resolve supported by divine guidance: when Kṛṣṇa is aligned with Arjuna’s purpose, ordinary opposition collapses. Ethically, it highlights how morale and dharma-backed leadership can render even a large force ineffective if it lacks unity, clarity, or rightful grounding.
Sañjaya reports that Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna have penetrated deep into the Kaurava formation without injury, and that none among the warriors present was able to check or stop them—intensifying the sense of crisis within Duryodhana’s side during the Drona Parva battles.
