Adhyāya 113: Karṇa–Bhīma Śaravarṣa and the Battlefield Aftermath (कर्णभीमशरवर्षः)

Sanjaya said: “O King, in this battle you should carefully reflect upon Drona and his mastery of wondrous weapons—upon the extraordinary missiles he will employ in the fight.”
The verse urges prudent reflection in the midst of war: power and skill (here, Drona’s citrāstras) must be assessed soberly, because ethical and strategic consequences follow from unleashing extraordinary force.
Sanjaya addresses Dhṛtarāṣṭra and draws attention to Droṇa’s formidable command of wondrous weapons on the battlefield, signaling the danger and intensity of the coming or ongoing combat.
