Adhyāya 113: Karṇa–Bhīma Śaravarṣa and the Battlefield Aftermath (कर्णभीमशरवर्षः)

tasmai tvāṁ visūjeyaṁ vai sa tvāṁ rakṣed yathārjunaḥ |

Sañjaya said: “Indeed, I would entrust you to him, so that he might protect you just as Arjuna does.” The line underscores a wartime ethic of safeguarding a valued person by placing them under the protection of a proven guardian, measuring reliability by Arjuna’s exemplary standard.

Educational Q&A

In crisis, one should entrust the vulnerable or valuable to a protector of proven competence and integrity; Arjuna is invoked as the benchmark for steadfast guardianship.

Sañjaya reports a statement about handing someone over to a capable defender, asserting that the person entrusted will be protected in the same manner as Arjuna protects—highlighting reliance on an established warrior-guardian.
