Educational Q&A

Even amid war’s chaos, one’s duty to protect allies and act decisively in a moral emergency is emphasized; the image of “Yama’s jaws” underscores the urgency of saving a comrade from near-certain death.

Sañjaya reports an urgent call to action: the speaker vows to follow with the army and commands that Sātyaki be freed immediately, as he is portrayed as trapped in a deadly situation—metaphorically within Death’s fangs.
