भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
न वै विभीषिकां कांचिदू राजन् कुर्वन्ति पाण्डवा: । युध्यन्ति ते यथान्यायं शक्तिमन्तश्न संयुगे,राजन! पाण्डवलोग युद्धमें किसी विभीषिकाका प्रदर्शन नहीं करते। अर्थात् किसी भी प्रकारसे भयभीत नहीं होते। वे न्यायपूर्वक युद्ध करते हैं। शक्तिशाली तो वे हैं ही
na vai vibhīṣikāṁ kāñcid ū rājann kurvanti pāṇḍavāḥ | yudhyanti te yathānyāyaṁ śaktimantaś ca saṁyuge ||
Sañjaya said: O King, the Pāṇḍavas do not create any spectacle of terror; they show no fear. They fight in accordance with what is right and lawful, and in battle they are truly powerful.
