भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify

धर्मेण सर्वकार्याणि जीवितादीनि भारत । आरभमन्ते सदा पार्था: प्रार्थथाना महद्‌ यश:,भारत! कुन्तीके पुत्र जीवन-निर्वाह आदिके सभी कार्य सदा धर्मपूर्वक ही आरम्भ करते हैं। कारण कि वे जगत्‌में अपना महान्‌ यश फैलाना चाहते हैं

dharmeṇa sarvakāryāṇi jīvitādīni bhārata | ārabhamante sadā pārthāḥ prārthayānā mahad yaśaḥ ||

Sañjaya said: “O Bhārata, the sons of Pṛthā always undertake every duty—beginning with the very means of living—only in accordance with dharma, for they seek to win and spread great renown in the world through righteous conduct.”
