एवमुक्तास्तत: सर्वे धार्तराष्ट्रस्य सैनिका: । अभ्यद्रवन्त संक्रुद्धा भीमसेनं महाबलम्,उनके ऐसा कहनेपर दुर्योधनके सभी सैनिक कुपित हो महाबली भीमसेनकी ओर दौड़े
evam uktās tataḥ sarve dhārtarāṣṭrasya sainikāḥ | abhyadravant saṅkruddhā bhīmasenaṃ mahābalam ||
Sañjaya said: When those words had been spoken, all the soldiers of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s side, inflamed with anger, rushed forward in a body toward Bhīmasena, the mighty one. The scene underscores how harsh speech and wounded pride can instantly harden into collective violence on the battlefield, eclipsing restraint and discernment.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger (krodha) and provocation can rapidly override judgment, turning speech into immediate violence; it implicitly warns that loss of self-control on the battlefield accelerates adharma and suffering.
After certain words are spoken (in the preceding context), the Kaurava troops become furious and collectively charge toward Bhīma, recognizing him as a formidable target and responding with aggressive momentum.
