Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
gītā gaṅgā ca gāyatrī govindeti hṛdi sthite | caturgakārasaṃyukte punarjanma na vidyate ||
Vaiśampāyana said: When the heart is firmly established in these four sacred names beginning with the sound “ga”—Gītā, Gaṅgā, Gāyatrī, and Govinda—one is freed from the cycle of rebirth. The verse frames liberation not as a mere ritual claim, but as the ethical and devotional transformation that comes from inwardly holding scripture, sacred purity, mantra, and the Lord’s name.
