Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
संजय उवाच ततो युयुत्सु: कौरव्यान् परित्यज्य सुतांस्तव । (स सत्यमिति मन्वानो युधिष्ठिरवचस्तदा ।) जगाम पाण्डुपुत्राणां सेनां विश्राव्य दुन्दुभिम्,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्! तदनन्तर युयुत्सु युधिष्ठिकी बातको सच मानकर आपके सभी पुत्रोंको त्यागकर डंका पीटता हुआ पाण्डवोंकी सेनामें चला गया
sañjaya uvāca | tato yuyutsuḥ kauravyān parityajya sutāṁs tava | (sa satyam iti manvāno yudhiṣṭhiravacas tadā) | jagāma pāṇḍuputrāṇāṁ senāṁ viśrāvya dundubhim |
Sañjaya said: Then Yuyutsu, abandoning the Kauravas—your sons—went over to the army of the sons of Pāṇḍu. Believing Yudhiṣṭhira’s words to be true, he proceeded at that time, sounding the war-drum as he entered the Pāṇḍava host—an open declaration of his choice of truth and righteousness over clan-loyalty.
