ध्यानयोगः — Dhyāna-Yoga
Discipline of Meditation and Mental Restraint
सम्बन्ध-- यदि यह बात है, तो फिर लोग भगवान्को न भजकर अन्य देवताओंकी उपासना क्यों करते हैं? इसपर कहते हैं-- काड्क्षन्त: कर्मणां सिद्धि यजन्त इह देवता: । क्षिप्रं हि मानुषे लोके सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा,इस मनुष्यलोकमें कर्मोंके फलको चाहनेवाले लोग देवताओंका पूजन किया करते हैं; क्योंकि उनको कर्मोंसे उत्पन्न होनेवाली सिद्धि शीघ्र मिल जाती है
kāṅkṣantaḥ karmaṇāṁ siddhiṁ yajanta iha devatāḥ | kṣipraṁ hi mānuṣe loke siddhir bhavati karmajā ||
Those who long for success in their actions worship the gods here in this human world, for the attainments born of action come quickly. The verse highlights a common ethical tendency: people often choose what yields immediate, visible results, even if it keeps their devotion tied to limited, outcome-driven aims rather than the highest good.
