vīraṃ gāṇḍīvadhanvān amṛte jiṣṇuṃ kapidhvajam | gāṇḍīvadhārī vīra kapidhvaja arjunaṃ chōḍakara anya sabhī nareśa apane prahāroṃdvārā mujhe itanī pīḍā nahīṃ de sakate |
Sanjaya said: Except for the heroic Arjuna—bearer of the Gāṇḍīva bow, the unconquered victor, whose banner bears the emblem of Hanumān—no other king can, by his blows, inflict such pain upon me. In the moral atmosphere of the war, the statement underscores how a single warrior’s disciplined prowess and righteous resolve can outweigh the force of many, making Arjuna the decisive instrument of the Pāṇḍavas’ cause.

Sanjaya emphasizes Arjuna’s exceptional power on the battlefield, stating that apart from Arjuna—identified by his Gāṇḍīva bow and Hanumān-banner—no other ruler can cause such intense suffering through their attacks.
