निवत्ते विहिते युद्धे स्यात्‌ प्रीतिर्न: परस्परम्‌

Transliteration

nivṛtte vihite yuddhe syāt prītir naḥ parasparam

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “If the war, once duly undertaken and carried out according to prescribed rule, comes to an end, then may there be mutual goodwill between us.”
