Vaiśampāyana said: Bhīma, the great chariot-warrior, also rendered to them the highest honor and formal hospitality. Thereafter, they entered and took up residence in houses that were everywhere filled with treasures—signifying respectful reception, protection of guests, and the ethical duty of honoring those who come under one’s care.

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharma expressed as proper honor and hospitality: a righteous leader safeguards social harmony by respectfully receiving others, offering them dignified lodging and care, rather than treating them with suspicion or neglect.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that Bhīma formally honors a group (previously mentioned in context) and arranges for them to stay in well-appointed, jewel-rich residences, indicating their secure and respected accommodation.
