इति मत्वा तदात्मान प्रत्यादिष्टं सम मागध: । तथ्यमित्यभिगम्यैनं प्राउजलि: प्रत्यपूजयत्‌,अर्जुनकी यह बात सुनकर मेघसन्धिको यह विश्वास हो गया कि अब इन्होंने मेरी जान छोड़ दी है। तब वह अर्जुनके पास गया और हाथ जोड़ उनका समादर करते हुए कहने लगा--

iti matvā tadātmānaṃ pratyādiṣṭaṃ sa māgadhaḥ | tathyam ity abhigamyainaṃ prāñjaliḥ pratyapūjayat ||

Understanding thus that his life had truly been spared and that he had been formally dismissed, the Magadhan approached Arjuna. With hands joined in reverence, he honored him respectfully—signaling a shift from fear and hostility to acknowledgment of righteous restraint and magnanimity.
