Arjuna–Vāsudeva framed dialogue
इत्युक्त:ः स कुरुश्रेष्ठ गुरुणा गुरुवत्सल: । प्राउजलि: परिपप्रच्छ यत्तच्छूणु महामते,महाबुद्धिमान् कुरुश्रेष्ठ अर्जुन! गुरुके द्वारा इस प्रकार कहे जानेपर उस गुरुके प्यारे शिष्यने हाथ जोड़कर जो कुछ पूछा, उसे सुनो
ity uktaḥ sa kuruśreṣṭha guruṇā guruvatsalaḥ | prāñjaliḥ paripapraccha yat tac chṛṇu mahāmate ||
Thus addressed by his teacher, that foremost of the Kurus—ever devoted to his guru—folded his hands in reverence and asked further questions. O great-minded one, listen to what he asked.
