इत्येत एकादश पाण्डवानां पुत्रा: ॥ तेषां वंशकरो5भिमन्यु:,इस प्रकार ये पाण्डवोंके ग्यारह पुत्र हुए। इनमेंसे अभिमन्युका ही वंश चला
ity ete ekādaśa pāṇḍavānāṃ putrāḥ | teṣāṃ vaṃśakaro 'bhimanyuḥ |
Thus are enumerated the eleven sons of the Pāṇḍavas. Among them, it is Abhimanyu who becomes the continuer of the lineage—signaling that dynastic continuity rests not merely on number of heirs, but on the one through whom the family’s dharma and succession are preserved.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores that the preservation of a family’s dharma and continuity may depend on a single worthy successor; lineage is sustained not by mere progeny-count but by the one through whom succession actually proceeds.
Vaiśampāyana concludes a listing of the Pāṇḍavas’ eleven sons and notes that Abhimanyu is the one through whom the lineage continues.
