Chapter 74: Non-anger, Forbearance, and the Ethics of Residence

सुनिकृष्टा च ते योनि: पुंश्वलीव प्रभाषसे । यदृच्छया कामरागाज्जाता मेनकया हासि,तुम्हारी जाति नीच है। तुम कुलटा-जैसी बातें करती हो। जान पड़ता है, मेनकाने अकस्मात्‌ भोगासक्तिके वशीभूत होकर तुम्हें जन्म दिया है

sunikṛṣṭā ca te yoniḥ puṁśvalīva prabhāṣase | yadṛcchayā kāmarāgāj jātā menakayā asi ||

Duṣyanta said: “Your birth is of a low kind, and you speak like a wanton woman. It seems you were born of Menakā by mere chance, when she was overcome by lustful passion.”
