वंशानुकीर्तनम् — Genealogical Recitation from Dakṣa to Yayāti and the Establishment of the Paurava Line

मनोरमं महेष्वासो विवेश वनमुत्तमम्‌ । मारुताकलितास्तत्र द्रुमा: कुसुमशाखिन:

manoramaṁ maheṣvāso viveśa vanam uttamam | mārutākalitās tatra drumāḥ kusumaśākhinaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: The great archer entered a most splendid forest, delightful to behold. There, the trees—laden with flowering branches—swayed as the wind moved among them, setting a serene scene that contrasts with the tensions that drive the heroes onward.
