Educational Q&A

The verse praises the ideal custodians of dharma: ritual specialists whose outer precision (proper arrangement and sequence) is matched by inner and intellectual virtues—sound judgment (nyāya), grasp of truth (tattva), and self-knowledge (ātma-vijñāna).

Vaiśampāyana describes the sacrifice being carried out under the supervision of highly trained Brahmin experts, emphasizing their mastery of ritual procedure and Vedic learning, and their ethical-intellectual qualifications.
