Vaiśaṃpāyana said: He is the Lord even of the Prajāpatis, divine in nature, the protector and leader of the gods, mighty in power; marked with the Śrīvatsa emblem, the master of the senses (Hṛṣīkeśa), and worshipped by all the deities. The verse frames him as the supreme refuge and rightful object of reverence, grounding devotion in recognition of cosmic order and rightful authority.
वैशग्पायन उवाच
True devotion is directed toward the highest divine principle—one who stands above even the cosmic progenitors and is acknowledged by all gods—thereby aligning reverence with dharmic hierarchy and cosmic order.
Vaiśaṃpāyana offers a laudatory description (stuti) of Hṛṣīkeśa/Viṣṇu-Kṛṣṇa, listing epithets that establish his supremacy, protective role, and universal worship.
