Takṣaka’s agency, Parīkṣit’s rites, and Janamejaya’s enthronement (वैयासिक परम्परा-प्रसङ्गः)

स देवं परमासीन सर्वभूतहिते रतम्‌ । ब्रह्माणमुपतस्थे वै काले काले सुसंयत:,वह समय-समयपर मन और इन्द्रियोंको संयममें रखकर सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंके हितमें तत्पर रहनेवाले, उत्तम आसनपर विराजमान आचार्यदेवकी सेवामें उपस्थित हुआ करता था

sa devaṁ paramāsīnaṁ sarvabhūtahite ratam | brahmāṇam upatasthe vai kāle kāle susaṁyataḥ ||

With his mind and senses well restrained, he would, at regular intervals, attend upon Brahmā—the divine preceptor—who sat upon an exalted seat and was ever devoted to the welfare of all beings. The verse highlights disciplined self-control expressed as steady service to a beneficent, world-sustaining authority.
