Dhṛṣṭadyumno rājaputras tu sarva-vṛttaṁ teṣāṁ kathitaṁ caiva rātrau | sarvaṁ rājñe Drupadāyākhilena nivedayiṣyaṁs tvarito jagāma ||
Vaiśampāyana said: That night, the prince Dhṛṣṭadyumna heard from them the entire account of events. Eager to report everything in full to King Drupada, he hurried at once to the royal palace—moved by a sense of duty to inform his father and to act promptly in a matter of great consequence.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights rājadharma in practice: a responsible prince promptly conveys important information to the king, emphasizing completeness (ākhilena) and urgency (tvaritaḥ) when public and familial decisions depend on accurate knowledge.
After hearing the Pāṇḍavas’ full story during the night, Dhṛṣṭadyumna rushes to the palace to inform King Drupada of everything, setting up the next developments in Drupada’s response and plans.
