पश्यैन॑ त॑ ट्रुमाग्रस्थं भासं नरवरात्मज । पश्यामीत्येवमाचार्य प्रत्युवाच युधिष्ठिर:,“राजकुमार! वृक्षकी शिखापर बैठे हुए इस गीधको देखो।” तब युधिष्ठिरने आचार्यको उत्तर दिया--“भगवन्‌! मैं देख रहा हूँ

paśyainaṃ taṃ drumāgrasthaṃ bhāsaṃ naravarātmaja | paśyāmīty evam ācārya pratyuvāca yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O prince, look at that vulture perched on the top of the tree.” Thus addressed by the teacher, Yudhiṣṭhira replied, “Revered sir, I see it.” The exchange underscores disciplined attention and truthful speech as the foundation of training, where the student answers only what is directly perceived.
