Vāraṇāvata-prasaṃsā and the Pāṇḍavas’ Departure (वरणावत-प्रशंसा तथा पाण्डव-प्रयाणम्)

युक्तरूप: स हि गुरुरित्येवमनुचिन्त्य च | अथैनमानीय तदा स्वयमेव सुसत्कृतम्‌,फिर यह सोचकर कि द्रोणाचार्य ही इन कुमारोंके उपयुक्त गुरु हो सकते हैं, भीष्मजी स्वयं ही आकर उन्हें सत्कारपूर्वक घर ले गये। वहाँ शस्त्रधारियोंमें श्रेष्ठ भीष्मने बड़ी बुद्धिमत्ताके साथ द्रोणाचार्यसे उनके आगमनका कारण पूछा और द्रोणने वह सब कारण इस प्रकार निवेदन किया

yuktarūpaḥ sa hi gurur ityevamanucintya ca | athainam ānīya tadā svayameva susatkṛtam |

Reflecting, “He indeed is the most fitting teacher,” Bhīṣma then personally brought him and honored him with due respect. In that setting, Bhīṣma—foremost among warriors—wisely inquired of Droṇa the reason for his arrival, and Droṇa proceeded to state the entire cause as it was.
