Sukta 10
एकाष्टका तपसा तप्यमाना जजान गर्भं महिमानमिन्द्रम्। तेन देवा व्यऽसहन्त शत्रून् हन्ता दस्यूनामभवच्छचीपतिः
ekāṣṭakā tápasā tápyamānā jajā́na gárbhaṃ mahimā́nam índram | téna devā́ vy-àsahanta śátrūn hantā́ dasyū́nām abhavac chacī́patiḥ ||
Ekāṣṭakā, glowing with fervid heat, brought forth in birth the embryo—Indra, very Majesty. Therewith the Gods prevailed and drave their foemen asunder: Śacī’s Lord became the slayer of the Dasyu.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (Anukramaṇī attribution varies by hymn; commonly Atharvan/Angirasic strata for such material)
Devata: Indra (with Ekāṣṭakā as generative personification)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh (probable; requires metrical verification against pada count)
{"primary_rasa":"vira","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_arc":"Wonder at generative tapas culminating in heroic triumph and enemy-dispersion.","listener_experience":"Uplift, courage, readiness to act.","intensity":7}
