Rishi: From RV Indra material preserved in AV 20 (ṛṣi per RV locus).
Devata: Indra
Chandas: RV meter (often Anuṣṭubh in such imperatival verses; exact meter depends on RV original).
Mantra 1
भिन्धि विश्वा अप द्विषः परि बाधो जही मृधः । वसु स्पार्हं तदा भर
Break thou away all haters; smite down, on every side, oppressions; slay hostilities: then bring hither wealth, desirable.
Mantra 2
यद् वीलाविन्द्र यत् स्थिरे यत् पर्शाने पराभृतम्। वसु स्पार्हं तदा भर
What (wealth) is in hollows, O Indra, what is in the firm place, what in the stony ground is carried off—bring thou that coveted wealth, thereupon.
Mantra 3
यस्य ते विश्वमानुषो भूरेर्दत्तस्य वेदति । वसु स्पार्हं तदा भर
He who knows thy gift of abundance, (known) among all men—then bring thou that coveted wealth.
To break hostile opposition (enemies, oppression, conflicts) and then compel the return or arrival of desirable wealth, including goods that are hidden or carried off.
The refrain “vasu spārhaṃ tadā bhara” acts as a ritual seal: after Indra removes obstacles, the mantra repeatedly fixes the intended result—bringing the coveted wealth here.
No specific substances are mentioned in the verses. It can be performed as a focused recitation with clear intent—first expelling hostility, then ‘calling back’ wealth and sealing the request.
