Agni is thy Hotṛ, thy Adhvaryu; Bṛhaspati, Indra, and the Brahman be on thy right. Offered, this sacrifice—well-established—goes on, where of old is the course of the offered.
Rishi: Atharvanic funerary tradition (specific attribution varies by edition for AV 18.4).
Devata: Agni; also Bṛhaspati, Indra, and Brahmanic power as protective ensemble
Chandas: Mixed/expanded; likely Triṣṭubh-family (verify per edition)
