Sukta 3
यदक्षेषु वदा यत् समित्यां यद् वा वदा अनृतं वित्तकाम्या। समानं तन्तुमभि संवसानौ तस्मिन्त्सर्वं शमलं सादयाथः
yád akṣéṣu váda yát samítyāṃ yád vā váda anṛ́taṃ vittakā́myāḥ | samānáṃ tántum abhí saṃvásānau tásmin tát sárvaṃ śámalaṃ sādayāthaḥ ||
What thou hast spoken at the dice, what in the assembly, or what untruth thou hast uttered from desire of gain—clothed both together upon one common thread, therein do ye cause all that stain to settle down.

Devata: Śamala-doṣa as the removed impurity; ritual powers of binding (tantu) and settlement (sādana).
Chandas: Triṣṭubh/irregular triṣṭubh.
