Sukta 3
एषा त्वचां पुरुषे सं बभूवानग्नाः सर्वे पशवो ये अन्ये। क्षत्रेणात्मानं परि धापयाथोऽमोतं वासो मुखमोदनस्य
eṣā́ tvacā́ṃ púruṣe sám babhūvān agnā́ḥ sárve paśávo yé anyé | kṣatréṇātmā́naṃ pári dhāpayātho ’mótaṃ vā́so múkham odanásya ||
This hath become the skins’ protection in the man; O Fires, and all the beasts that are beside. With kingly might do ye enwrap the self around—unharmed: the garment is the foremost part of cooked food.

Devata: Agni/Fires; Paśus; Kṣatra as personified protective power.
Chandas: Triṣṭubh/irregular triṣṭubh.
