यम उवाच ॥ देवर्षे श्रूयतां पुण्यं यद्ब्रवीषि महामुने ॥ त्वदुक्त्या मे कथयतः शृणुष्वावहितोऽनघ ॥
yama uvāca || devarṣe śrūyatāṃ puṇyaṃ yad bravīṣi mahāmune || tvaduktyā me kathayataḥ śṛṇuṣvāvahito'nagha ||
Yama berkata: Wahai devarṣi, wahai mahāmuni, biarlah ajaran yang penuh kebajikan yang engkau ucapkan itu didengarkan. Sesuai dengan perkataanmu, ketika aku menjelaskannya, dengarkanlah dengan saksama, wahai yang tanpa cela.
