Determinative Exposition on Śrāddha and the Pitṛyajña

Ancestral Offering

पितॄींस्तत्राह्वयेद्भूमे मन्त्रेण विधिपूर्वकम् ॥ पिण्डास्त्रयः प्रदातव्याः सह व्यञ्जनसंयुताः

pitṝṃs tatrāhvayed bhūme mantreṇa vidhipūrvakam || piṇḍās trayaḥ pradātavyāḥ saha vyañjanasaṃyutāḥ

Wahai Bumi, di sana hendaknya memanggil para leluhur dengan mantra, sesuai tata cara yang ditetapkan. Tiga piṇḍa (bulatan nasi) harus dipersembahkan, beserta hidangan pendampingnya.
